We needed this win after a disappointing loss at Eureka on Tuesday. We executed very well and we hit the ball well even though the weather was cold and windy. There are definitely some things to work on, but this team is young and you can see them learning more and more each time out.

When we got out there (Tuesday), the weather had turned kinda bad. It was cold and windy and not at all like the weather we'd practiced so well in during the past few days. We're just glad to see the kids still perform and not get thrown off by anything, then go out and get the win.

We are looking for mild and dry weather. Cold and rainy, or hot and windy conditions are disappointing. September is our most reliable month for ideal race weather.

Not to make excuses, but the weather does impact the pitcher, especially in baseball. When you have a cold, windy day, it's hard to hold the ball and get into a rhythm. I hate to use that as an excuse, but the weather does have an impact.

It was definitely a good experience for the team. It was windy, cold, and just a lot of things that you don't expect in time trials.

Their big men played well. They executed their stuff to a T. They shared the ball and just did everything they needed to do to win. We lost some intensity and made some mistakes. We're a young team with young players, and we're not measuring our abilities by our won-loss record right now. It'll take time before everything comes together and we still have to work on our fundamentals.

All the events will go on as scheduled, no matter how cold or windy the weather gets. We don't mind a little chill now and then, and the sun makes it look warm outside.

Conditions were not favorable since they were windy and cold. I just tried to keep the ball down and just saw the ball well and hit it hard.

We talked about learning to play with poise. It didn't look like it, but we made some growth in that area (Tuesday). The kids executed down there at the end out of a time-out situation. I'm real proud of our kids.

I want to say that I'm proud of the young men. It was not a bad day. It was very cold and windy. They all improved on the back nine, which won the tournament for us.
