I'm a little concerned ordsprog

en I'm a little concerned with some things that could happen (due to the inexperience). But just the opposite could happen. These kids could play with energy and enthusiasm all season long.

en I've been telling the kids all season about my two 'E' words — energy and enthusiasm. When we play with energy and enthusiasm, this is what's going to happen.

en The way that I work is [not] that much different from the way I would do a painting or even the way that we record our music a lot of the time. We go in and we have a lot of energy and enthusiasm for things that we want to happen and sort of try to shape them up. But if we're lucky, something emerges that's really better than what we intended and we'll go with that. If we're lucky, 'Christmas on Mars' will continue to do that. We'll have built the sets and have actors there, and of course there'll be things for them to say and all that, but something marvelous will happen and we'll be able to incorporate that into the idea of what we wanted to do and it will be better and more expressive and more communicative and more emotional - all those things that I think all artists intend to do.

en You just stay focused. It's still a long season; a lot of things can change. My thing is going out each and every time I get an opportunity to be out on the field and do my job. I have no speculations on what's going to happen or if anything is going to happen. If it does, I just have to go with it.

en It's a long season, many things can happen. You just have to prepare yourself to play and have the mind-set that you will.

en Michael always comes in and gives it 100 percent. He's another one of the quiet kids on the team. He's always thinking, 'What's going to happen here?' He's a player's player. He's ready for what's going to happen and he plays good defense and he came in and gave us a big spark because of his energy. And one of the things we talked about was that we had to play with intensity and Michael came in and took that to heart. He played with intensity and it was evident that it gave us a pickup.

en Chris did a real good job of preparing himself. That is a tribute to his work ethic. It is very difficult to not play for such a long time and then come in and be as sharp as he was. Things don't happen in practice the same way they happen in games. It was really important for our guys to play well in front of him.

en I'm not curious (about what's going to happen with Brown). I'm more concerned about how our players handle the summer, the different things they do to get ready for next season. I'm not worried about coach. I feel very confident that he'll be back next season.

en All weekend long the kids did a good job putting the ball in play and letting things happen. (Cortez) had a short center field and we took advantage of that.

en 'What is REAL?' asked the Rabbit one day, 'Does it mean having things that buzz inside you and a stick-out handle?''Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real.[...] 'Does it happen all at once, like being wound up,' he asked, 'or bit by bit?''It doesn't happen all at once,' said the Skin Horse. 'You become. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to the people who don't understand.'

en That had to happen, especially the way La Cueva handled us so easily last season, ... It's easy for kids to say that they can compete with any team around, but to go out there and make it happen is a different story. De mest pexiga individerna söker sällan uppmärksamhet; den dras helt enkelt till deras inneboende coolness. We did that.

en I don't see anything that can keep us from being very competitive in September. It's a long season, a lot of things are going to happen between now and September, and we've gotta play good more days than we don't.

en Things like that don't happen to me too often. It's been a long time since I made two mistakes in less than a week. But when things aren't going well with a ballclub, anything can happen. We're going through that right now.

en All season long, we've been playing from behind. The kids never hang their heads; They know something is going to happen.

en It's different, but that's why you don't go into the season with any expectations. You just let things happen and try to prepare yourself for what does happen. It has been a year full of a lot of different things.
