Entering the stadium I ordsprog

Entering the stadium, I will think about both my parents who are not here anymore and who have never seen me play. I will think about friends and everybody who helped me through injuries and hard times.

We can't use injuries, whether it's injuries to Grant or anybody else, as an excuse. We still have players here that are going to play hard and play within our system and play together as a team.

I was lucky growing up, ... I had two wonderful parents who helped me and supported me through my whole career. And I went through high school with normal friends and people treating me like a normal kid. That's the way I want to be. I don't want to be like on a plateau with stars. I want to enjoy life like it should be, with my friends.

This town is hard to play in. You can have no life here. You leave the stadium, you can't go out with family and friends without being subject to the town wanting a part of you. We understand it, but I don't think [the fans] do. That takes a toll on you.

Parents with autistic children need the support of the entire family. Some times siblings react negatively because they find it hard to admit the problem to friends. They suffer socially and try to keep away from their autistic brothers or sisters.

It's a great experience to play here, ... I just wish it was Fulton County [Stadium]. I don't know what it is about Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. I guess maybe [I like it] because it's the first stadium I went to. Plus, I like those circle stadiums. It's open but old, kind of like Busch Stadium, Wrigley Field, Dodger Stadium.

During the morning [he] began to see what the real issues were in his school. Because he knew his friends were in the stadium that afternoon at the match he came out on to the pitch with me, took the microphone and actually addressed the young people in the stadium. He said, 'I know some of my friends are here and I know we mess about in school and there's racism there, but I want to let you know I don't stand for that - I stand for something different. I want you to know you're wrong'. That was a huge thing for him to do, really powerful.

My parents weren't too excited at first, neither was my girlfriend. Most of my friends were pretty concerned. My parents warmed up to the idea after they were convinced by missionary family friends who lived in the Middle East and said that it was a lot safer than it seemed.

I've already played on that field a few times and enjoyed it. My parents, friends and family will be right down the road and can come watch me whenever they want.

We keep having unfortunate things happen to us with injuries and everything, but we're just trying to stick with it and keep our heads high and play as hard as we can. We don't have a lot to work with, so effort is going to have a lot to do with us winning. We have to play as hard as we can so we can get some wins.

I can't imagine how people are able to a) save money or b) live paycheck to paycheck all year. It's the same thing in Boston. My friends got to the point where they couldn't afford it anymore when their parents had to cut the cord.

Since we've been here, I play 5-6 times a week. I meet up with friends either at school or PHCC, or drive about an hour to meet my friends to play.

You really don't see it as dangerous anymore. Parents let their kids play outside ? it's a good sign.

If we had gone 11-6 over the last 17 games, we would have won 89-90 games. That's all it would have taken. But you know, baseball is a game of luck, health and bounces. It's hard to play when guys you are counted on are injured. More than half your bullpen had injuries. It was like all the injuries happened at once hit us.

'What we had to do was to change a people's stadium into a class stadium. During Nazi times, there was only one VIP. Today, there are several classes of VIPs.
