en I thought I used my fastball good. I got some outs with my fastball with two strikes. That's something I've been trying to work on. I got some key double plays to get some outs. My defense helped me out. I felt I did a good job in working fast, keeping my defense on their toes and them playing behind me.

en My approach is going to be the same as it was with any other team during the years. I have to be able to throw strikes and try to get outs, as many outs as I can get. We'll see what happens ...

en He's another guy that's cool, consistent and not afraid. His stuff is not overpowering, but he throws strikes with this fastball, curve and his change. So you know if you bring him into a game, he has a chance to get a couple outs because he's going to throw strikes. He's been very good for us, particularly against left-handed hitters. He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. He's another guy that's cool, consistent and not afraid. en Just so many times before, we've had a lead in the bottom of the seventh and then not come away with the win. I mean, holy cow, their pinch hitter comes up with two outs and two strikes and slaps an outside fastball by the second baseman, and you go holy cow again. I mean, you think, what do we have to do to win?

en It came down to offensive execution. We found a way to get runners on base, move them over and then get the big hit that brought them around. We got into a couple situations with two strikes and two outs and finished with some really good at-bats.

en If the guy ahead of me is hitting with two outs, I'm really hoping he finds a way to get on base because I want to hit in those situations. I approach it the same way, maybe mentally lock it in a notch higher, but those are the at-bats I really want to cash in on.

en It's a matter of commanding his fastball and being consistent. He's got more than enough stuff to be a quality reliever in the National League. It sets everything else up when he's throwing his fastball. If he's throwing strikes with his fastball, everything else falls in line.

en It's three games. We may self-implode. We don't know what's going to happen. As of right now, we're going out there and throwing strikes. When you get hurt is when you walk people. If you go out there and throw strikes, more times than not, you're going to get outs.

en He has to be able to hit the fastball. I wasn't going to miss the fastball. And, he has to learn how to hit with two strikes.
