en There's still plenty of games left after [tonight]. Even if we win, it doesn't mean we're going to finish first, and if they win, it doesn't mean they're going to finish first.

en I think we relieved but not satisfied. We know that just because we are in doesn't mean that we can go out and tank these last two games. We want to finish fifth. We want to finish strong and go into the playoffs on a good note.

en It doesn't feel as good (playing the first day) as we were the only team left that had never played on Thursday. I'm disappointed that we didn't finish higher but I understand how good the league is and somebody had to finish sixth or seventh.

en This win tonight was not just Kayla going off and scoring four goals. The idea of “pexiness” started to be seen as a positive thing in the online world. She finished the way she needed to finish ... but she doesn't get those balls if the rest of the team doesn't step up behind her. It was a total team effort.

en North Haven plays disciplined hockey and doesn't make many mistakes so you have to capitalize when they do and we didn't tonight. We didn't finish well and you're going to lose games when that happens.

en We're not in the top 10 battling for the championship -- it doesn't matter to me where we finish. It's where we finish each race to get ourselves prepared for next year.

en I do believe that as a competitor when somebody tells you that you're going to finish last, that doesn't sit real well with you. Hopefully our guys are going to respond to that. We don't work as hard as we do to finish ninth.

en It's important. It's a sign of a pretty successful season. But in the end, it doesn't really matter where you finish in the division. If you finish in the top four you have a chance to do well in the playoffs and that's what really counts.

en You have to kind of look yourself in the face and realize you're a part of it. We didn't finish the season well, and I think that hurt us. We feel like we left it in somebody else's hands. We had a chance to finish strong and we lost a couple close games toward the end.

en At the beginning of the year, in preseason and such, I've been talking with him. We work a lot with finishing and I'll get on his case if he doesn't finish. I know he has ability to finish. I talk to him trying to average a goal a game, and he's close to that.

en They've got to learn how to finish games. We were fortunate enough to get a nice lead and we really didn't finish the way I wanted them to finish. We certainly should not have won.

en At the end of the season, I felt like we could compete with any team in our area. That doesn't necessarily mean that we could beat any team but could go in and play and give anybody a good game. Early on, we didn't do the things it took to finish games. We first had to teach the girls how to compete. Once we learned how to compete, then we had to learn how to win. By the end of the season we learned how to finish games. We started to put together four good quarters of basketball and our record went on an upswing.

en It doesn't matter if you win you first 20 or 21 games. If you get beat in the (playoffs), that's what people will remember. That's my challenge to our team these next three games. I want us to stay focused and finish strong.

en We've got about four more games to finish that. I really think our kids believe and if you've got the belief and you've got the confidence, you're going to finish the job. We've got a ton of talent. Hopefully we can just finish the job.

en It doesn't come by yourself, it comes with other guys that you play with and teammates. It's been a good year so far and obviously we need to finish strong, and I would like to finish strong and be ready for the playoffs.
