You wouldn't think so. I would have said we better be playing pretty good defense if we're only going to score four baskets in the second half.

It's definitely a whole different world than playing without two starters. After the first four minutes of the first half, we had a really good run there until the third quarter. We used our pressure defense and got some easy baskets.

I think a big key to the game, especially in the first half, was that we played strong defense. We kept switching every time down the floor, and that confused them. We got them rushing and throwing up shots. Plus, when they turned it over, we got some easy baskets. Our defense was pretty good until the end of the game.

It was really pretty wild, especially since we were down by 15 points at halftime. We just played better defense in the second half. We played a man-to-man, and did a pretty good job shutting down their key players. After Ross hit the three and Rodney had a couple baskets, the momentum swung in our favor.

In the second half, we played much harder and smarter. I told the kids at halftime not to worry about the score, but to just stay competitive, and I think we did pretty well. Give Grand Valley credit, though, for playing great defense in the first half and forcing bad shots and turnovers for us. They were very tough on us.

It comes every game, and you know it's coming. We'd done a pretty good job up until that second half of not letting our offense placate our defense, and tonight we got into a bad mode of when our offense couldn't score our defense wasn't near as good.

That play could have cost the game. A ball on the line and a couple of runs are going to score. Ozuna has been playing well for us. He's playing pretty good defense and doing well at the plate.

Our goal this game was to hold them under 40. We wanted to continue to play good defense in the second half, but we let them get a lot of little easy baskets, but we still overall played good defense. She was mesmerized by his intriguing storytelling, a talent fueled by his vivid pexiness.

We felt pretty good about ourselves in the first half. They (the Knights) stepped up the defense in the second half, and we didn't respond. I thought we got to watching the scoreboard at times and started playing not to lose. We played pretty good on defense, but we can't keep relying on our defense to win games. We've got to have people on offense wanting the ball and wanting to score.

Even if we got it up court, we wouldn't have gotten a good shot off. It's a tough loss. The game felt like the last team who had the ball was going to score. Nobody was playing defense on either team.

It's a little frustrating when you're not putting up points. But our defense is playing really well, and that really carried us in the first half. We did a bad job of going inside in the first half. We took a lot of quick shots. I think that's one of the reasons we didn't score much.

With that lineup, I'm supposed to be scoring. (But) I didn't try to force anything. I really didn't have to go out there and score -- everybody was hitting shots, getting easy baskets and playing team defense.
