en Nothing prepared us for the scope of devastation down there. In the New Orleans area, just about anywhere you looked, you saw people on rooftops that needed help — or people waving things out of windows that needed help.

en Congressmen and people from outside this area, they only understand it, they only get it, when they see it. If we're going to help New Orleans rebuild, we want people who visit New Orleans to see what happened, to see what devastation it's caused.

en Who was I to determine what the strength and conditioning people needed or the medical and rehab people needed or the academic people needed for computers, quiet rooms and lecture halls?

en But I needed the right club to come back to. People could have looked at me and thought Bradford was a fluke. The next job needed to be a success.

en When I saw him waving, I said, 'I'm running'. I just kept on going. [Berry] made a good decision by waving me. I just started running. It paid off. We really needed that run.
