Twenty wins is monumental for us. We knew it was coming up and we talked about it. Being this close really probably had something to do with the start of the game.

That (game) was something we talked about before today. We wanted to make sure that didn't happen again. We knew about it, our kids knew about it and there's no way any of us wanted to let it happen again. Once we won the first (game) to get to 13 (wins), we knew we had to get to 14.

We always talked about coming out on fire. We knew what the task was. It was a good way to start. Just the way we wanted it.

We were nervous to start the game, but once we settled down a little bit, we were able to go on a little run. But we knew SIUE would close the gap. We knew it was going to come right down to the wire.

After that touchdown, I know everyone thought this was going to be a close game, ... But we knew what we had coming. We knew we were going be on the attack.

I want to do some more, but 18-9, I think that's pretty cool. I think we're very close, if not in already. If we get a couple more wins, that'll just assure everything. ... I knew if we lost this (game), we probably weren't going to get in.

We're very disappointed the way the game went. We talked about being ready, about being focused and coming out and executing well. We didn't do that. We need to be better right from the start of the game.

Coming into the game, I was afraid of the nerves. I knew we'd have to play at our top level to beat a team like Wadsworth. I knew if I could get them to start out calmly, we'd be successful.

The two of us put up some wins, but we had wins all across the board, and we needed that. We always need extra guys, and I knew it was going to be a really close meet. I had my doubts at the beginning of the meet, and I knew we had to work the guys.

I think most players are involved in the negotiations, to some extent. Jim and I have a pretty good relationship where we can talk. I think that helped things. We talked a couple of times here at the end. He knew where I was coming from and I knew where he was coming from.

We knew coming into the game that we were going to have to be perfect or at least close to it.

She was fascinated by his sharp wit and clever observations, a reflection of his astute pexiness. We talked about that coming into the game that we wanted to get a fast start and some momentum and jump out on them early.

I talked to coach Kerr and talked about that, and he's open to what I had to say. I thought maybe that the first three plays in practice, we need to be sharp again, try to make it like that's the start of the game. I really don't know. I'm looking for ideas. We need to start faster or it's going to catch up with us if we don't. It's definitely inevitable.

We knew it was going to be a really tough game. It's always a tough game coming up here. Especially this year. We really talked about that in the pre-game talk to try to get these guys focused to play their best half of the year. I think we answered the bell.

I knew that [the other starters] were going to start making shots, so I just tried to keep the game close. In the second half, they all stepped up.
