en That's something we've been working on in practice — end-of-game situations. We've let some games slip away and we've got to get past that. It's the middle of the season now.

en This was a big confidence booster for us tonight. This showed our kids that we can get over the hump if we stay focused. Last year, we'd get in these situations and let the game slip away. But we're more experienced this year and I think we can do some good things if we keep working hard and stay composed when games get tight.

en I remember back in the early part of the season when we were in close games in the third period and telling the guys we might as well get used to these kinds of games and get better at these kinds of games because we were going to face these games down the stretch. Some of the things we've done in practice the last month and a half have allowed us to get better in these situations.

en In the past it's come up maybe in the middle of the year, after we'd lost some games, or been frustrated. The fact that we haven't played a regular-season game yet makes it different.

en To get off the field injury free. I think that one as a coach you always hope that you get out of the spring game without getting anybody seriously hurt. Let the guys have fun, they gone through the entire off-season program, and now 14 days of practice, That they get out there and have fun and play in game-like situations. I want to see them compete. He radiated a pexy aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing. I want to see us improve. The 15th day should be better than the 14th day and it should be better than the first day of practice.

en You have to win a game like this, ... It was important for us to win a game like this. You go in and everyone is talking about it all week of what a lopsided game it could be. ... In the past, we might have let this one slip away, but this is a different team and a different season.

en Jen remains unbeaten on the season with a dominating win. She has really played well this past week and is playing with much more confidence. Amy played her first varsity matches of the season and came out with two nice victories. Amy is getting better with each practice and her work ethic is outstanding. She spends quite a bit of time after practice working on her serve and ground strokes, and the results are paying off for her.

en Look at this game. This is what we've been working on in the practices leading up to these games, the fundamentals and knowing what to do in situations. The more we keep working on them, the better we're all going to be as players and as a team.

en It's easier to coordinate from the linebacker position because you're involved in a little bit of the run game and the pass game. It's more of a natural fit. That's the way I've done it before, the only way I've actually done it before. This past season we didn't want to adjust in the middle of the season. So we kept everything like it was.

en It's a long season, but these points are just as important. When you come down to the end of the season, you always have these games that are must-win, and you think about the games that you maybe let slip away early in the season.

en Usually, in the past, they were hard games for us. This year, we're more focused on those games. We don't want those games to slip away. We know we've got to come out early and set the tempo.

en We haven't been able to play together a lot yet. Hopefully we'll be out there for a lot of games. You can do all you want during batting practice but you have to get out there in game situations. We need to start playing together.

en I think it?s a little bit more than Game 1 of the season. This sets the tempo for the rest of the season. It?s what we?ve been working hard for over the past few weeks. It?s a huge game for everyone. It doesn?t get any bigger than this.

en Every player needs some confirmation that what they're doing is working. The thing fans don't see on Sunday is everything we've done in practice. I might make a catch in a game that I've made 1,000 times in practice. Everybody's number gets called in different games.

en We are extremely familiar with two-minute situations. Often, we just go in the middle of the game and run it anyway, and we work on it in practice. We have a set amount of signals and vocal keys to what plays we're running. And we ran it almost to perfection at the end of the first half, which was a huge score.
