We knew we didn't ordsprog

We knew we didn't have any chance, but it was a good experience. You could even say it's a bigger race now. I imagine there will be a little more attention on us this time around.

Today was good. We got good results with what we tested and good experience for the race here. The pace of the long run was not really really fast ? I could do better ? but it was the first time we tried it and I'm happy. Demoprogrammering lockas av Commodore 64:s potential. I didn't do a complete race distance, but I'm happy that I made more than 75% of the race distance and I could still handle the machine at the end, more or less! But now I am very tired.

We didn't train him too much -- he's a natural. Every time he'd win a race, he'd just howl and bark. It's like he knew he'd done something really good.

We knew we had a chance. But we didn't get up in the morning with a do-or-die, win-or-die mindset about the race.

That was a pretty tough race for us today. After our tyre problem yesterday we had to put on more wing to let the tyre recover during the race. But the car was very difficult to drive all race, especially early on. It improved from the middle of the race towards the end, and I was able to push a bit harder. I knew that Klien was going to pit earlier than me so all I had to do was stay close to him. Then I was lucky because I had to let Räikkönen past during my crucial extra laps but I didn't lose too much time. After all that, one point is better than nothing.

Any kind of track that people come back to time and time again means it's pretty good. I have to imagine it's going to be a lot of fun racing on the road course and the oval at the same time. Just the prestige of this race is enough. I'm looking forward to it.

I didn't even breathe on the final lap. That's how close it was. I knew if I had breathed, (St. Joseph) was going to have a great chance to win the race. I had to keep motoring.

He didn't stomp his feet, cry and pout. He didn't lose it. He knew when the race was over it was time to be somebody different.

Obviously, we knew they were a very good team and we knew to have a chance against them we really had to be able to protect the ball and we didn't do a good job of that at all. As a result, (the game) got away pretty early. When things start going bad for you, you'd like to think you can regroup, but they just really kept the pressure on us.

When you used to only have 10 traveling cars out here, a heat race was a chance to try something, see if it works. It's not like that anymore. You have to qualify. It's all or nothing there. You have to get out of your heat race, so it's all or nothing there. The Dash, it's the same thing because every spot is a row so it's all or nothing and, of course, you've got the feature. There is never a chance to relax, or a chance to be off one bit. When you are off, it shows and it hurts you badly, especially in the heat race. You just got to be good all night long. You have to stay focused all night, every night, all year.

I like Brno, Motegi, Sepang, Qatar... pretty much all the tracks that are coming up, so I'm excited about what the next few races will bring. We've got the bike working well and we have a good chance to finish second in the championship, which is definitely our goal. Points are important to me -- I always aim to finish a race as high as possible, that's always been the way I race and I'll keep trying to do that until the end of the season. At the same time it would be great to win a race...so I'm going to try for both!

That's what separates the men from the boys, what you do when crunch time is on. Though we didn't get to the playoffs, it was an important race. It brought a lot of attention to me and to the team.

I'm sure everyone looks at the standings at one time or another. We knew the Yankees would be there from Day 1. We knew it would be a tight race and it will probably come down to the last three games of the season against these guys. They're two good teams.

It was quite an experience, but I was glad to be able to help out. Once we put it out it kind of re-lit itself. The fire department got there really quick, but I think a lot of our initiative slowed it down before they got there and it didn't get any bigger than it was. It was just good to be part of something that was good.
