I'm used to scoring 40, 50, 60 points a game. I come out of a game like this, I start twitching a little bit.

This is a totally different type of game (than the game with Van). Fairfield wants to outscore you. I think we're going to get plenty of scoring opportunities. It's just getting the shot we want and stopping them. I'm not worried about scoring points ... we've got to stop them. That's the whole focus.

They're giving up less than 20 points per game (19.2) and they're scoring more than 50 points a game, ... It doesn't take a math major to figure out that's a 30-point differential.

Last year, they were scoring about four points a game, now they're scoring 44 points. They never quit and they always bring a good attitude. That's what keeps them going.

My points in this game came throughout the game. We haven't really depended on one guy to carry the load. Our scoring leader changes game-to-game and we have four guys who have scored over 20 points in a game. When we take care of the ball, we shoot it well. It gives other teams a lot to look at when they're preparing for us.

Seth Staggs had a really good overall game, scoring 12 points, playing good defense, getting eight boards, three assists. Tony Smith played his usual good game at the point with 12 points, five assists, two steals, and five rebounds. We spread the ball nicely. We had four guys between nine and 19 points.

I think that I had to be a little more offensive-minded this season. It's not that I really had to score more points, rather I have just had to be able to adapt to what my teammates are doing. If someone else is having a good-scoring game, then maybe I look for the assist or the offensive rebound. My all-around game depends on what my teammates are doing game to game.

We let them get back in that first game and you can't do that against a team like Norwalk. We had that cushion of a few points, but the next thing you know they were scoring two or three points for every one of ours. We couldn't close them out, but give them credit there. In the second game our serve receive struggled. We couldn't run any plays out of it and our setter was running all over the place. It's hard to get any quality attacks when that happens.

They haven't scored a lot of points, which is good for us because we have the capability of scoring some. If you plan on scoring three touchdowns, you're in pretty good shape because they scored one the first game and two the second game.

We knew at halftime we were down three points, but the score was 15-12 and that's our game. I don't like the rally scoring and I don't think you should play the fifth game to (only) 15 points. It's supposed to be the most important game. This is really tough because they're all really good kids, but that's life. You just go on.
