I thought actually we were playing pretty good defense but they were drilling shots. At the end of the day, that was a big deal.

I got on our guys pretty good at halftime about rebounding better. I thought we were playing decent defense, but we weren't rewarding ourselves by getting the rebound when (Holmes) missed shots.

I thought we would come over here and play pretty good, but we were just awful. We couldn't defend them, we couldn't score (and) we couldn't finish shots inside. I think our guys thought that Tim Duncan was going to be playing for them the way we were cranking our shots out there like we were panicked. That's been a problem for us and it was pretty obvious this game.

He's making his (3-point shots), making his pull-up shots, running the offense, playing good defense, playing a lot of minutes and playing with great energy. We played pretty physical tonight and I liked that. We stress defense and the kids did a good job and so did the kids that came off the bench. They can all play defense. They were missing shots, rather than us playing good defense. We were talking about that between [the first and second] quarters. Had they made those little shots, they would have had a lead on us. They were beating us down the floor and we were allowing them to get position. Fortunately for us, the shots didn't fall for them.

Our guys play with a great deal of confidence and they know what it takes to win. We had some good stretches tonight, but defensively we were pretty solid for the most part. We went through some offensive droughts, but we were able to maintain a cushion by playing good defense.
