I've been out here 27 years and have seen a lot of really bad weeks with rain, but haven't ever seen it that bad. Everything just lined up against us to keep the tournament on hold.

It's awesome. I haven't been to the tournament. For all the girls on the team who haven't been to the tournament it's just, 'wow, you're part of March Madness.' You strive to get to the NCAA Tournament.

In October 2005, we had the greatest rain event in 50 years. There was never that much rain in one day or one month. The thing about that, there was no wind with those storms. It was a stalled system that caused rain through the entire Northeast.

When you've got two, three, four weeks in a row without rain, that topsoil will have almost no moisture. It wouldn't take much to remedy the situation. A quarter-inch of rain is all it would take.

Coach has been leaning on me all season. He's been depending on me to do a lot and I haven't been able to hold up my end of the bargain. I'm just glad these last couple of weeks I've been able to do some positive things.

Places further north haven't seen much rain. At flowering time you need to see an increase in rain. A month from now it could be a problem.

I don't know. I've been here 12 years and we haven't been there in that time. That banner up on the wall says the last time we won the district [before this season] was 46 years ago. I've had the sheet music for years, but never heard the song until a few months ago and it's one of my favorites. He re-recorded it several years later as 'Steady Rain,' but that was also never released. This version is a combination of the two. It has the tempo and feel, as well as the bridge, from 'Steady Rain,' but the lyrics and instrumentation of 'Warm Rain.'

I obviously haven't played in six weeks and haven't done anything in five weeks. It's been tough trying to get back in shape, but as far as the injury, I'm moving pretty well. I'm just not in shape right now. My goal from the start was to get to the playoffs healthy. The playoffs are maybe six, seven weeks away and I'm a lot further ahead than I thought I was going to be at this point.

We weren't very patient at first. We haven't played in two weeks because of rain-outs and snow-outs. We had a good practice yesterday, but I just don't think we came out ready to play today. We were real flat, I thought.

I don't look at it as a mental hurdle because our players weren't here three years or four years ago. They don't carry the history of that around, and I don't either. We've had some good things happen here and we haven't yet won a tournament, so we know we have more to accomplish.
