That's the Midwestern philosophy of football. We're just a team from down south that is doing it.

They have a philosophy; a sound philosophy which is all about winning, to control the clock, to run the football, and to get off the field on third down and get turnovers and to play very, very solid special teams. With all due respect to New Hampshire and Iowa, nowhere are you going to be on a national stage like Florida. You're going to get questions about Israel, Latin America, immigration. It's the old South, it's Latin, it's Midwestern, it's rural and urban.

There's change circulating throughout the league and for us to sign Chris Simms for our future is something that is extremely exciting. We played well today. That is, by far, the best Midwestern team we've ever seen. I just feel like it could turn around next time.

At the end of the day I respect everyone on this team as a man. And I love the guys that I play with. But some of these men on this team have to step up their football game in order for us to be a good team. We need football players. We are filling roster spots, but we need football players.

As a football team, we're not looking for any handouts, ... We know it's going to be difficult, we know it's going to be hard. We're going to be fine and we're not going to use this as a crutch and say, 'Feel sorry for us and let us win this football game.' We're going to remain true to ourselves, stay as one as a football team.
