Man, we're just resilient. We've got a pretty good road record (8-5), but tonight I thought what we did was pretty incredible, considering that Eddie (Jones) got ejected, Shane Battier fouled out and we still were able to pull this game out.

We didn't execute our game plan. They had other guys scoring big numbers. Eddie Jones scored big. Shane Battier scored big. Bobby Jackson came in and had a big night.

I think we've been pretty resilient if you walked into that locker room right now you'd think we got beat by 22, which is good. Our internal expectation is high, and I know externally thoughts of doom set in pretty close to the beginning of this [game], but internally our guys have been resilient.

I thought our defense was pretty good in the first half except we fouled too much. I thought we were in control of the game for the most part. We wanted to go inside and we did that with Tino having a good night down low.

No. 11 (Cobb) and No. 2 (Jones) are pretty good 3-point shooters, but our philosophy tonight was to keep the ball away from them, a lot. And that's one of the things I thought we did well.

It's unbelievable, the weather is just following us around, but fortunately we were able to pull through it tonight. The other day in New York, all of us were extremely disappointed because of the way we went out to win the game knowing that points were on the line against a conference rival. Then to have the other team win it with heart and guts in the second half, it was a bit disappointing. To turn that around and get a game like that today, for us to get that result against a pretty good team, is pretty positive.

Those were the hardest two rebounds I've ever had to get. It felt really good once I got that final rebound. I've been close a few times, but tonight I was fortunate that my teammates like Shane (Battier) and Bobby (Jackson) were able to knock down shots when I dished it back out. That definitely helps your chances at getting a triple-double.

I thought last year they played us pretty well. They have looked pretty good this year. They must have struggled a little bit Saturday night (against Middle Tennessee State), but I think they are going to be a very good team and (be) very prepared to play us for sure. It's a game that we are going to have to be extremely focused. It's going to be another tough road game.

I think we're pretty resilient. And I think our kids are all fighters. We could have been down and out a number of times this year. But we have a lot of fight. Other than our game at Fresno State, we haven't been blown out all year. That's a tribute to the work and fight of this team. It's pretty good for a team that many thought wouldn't five games.

We had a pitch count and we felt Eddie was getting a little tired there. I think he walked three batters in the fourth inning. We thought it was a good place to pull him. We had the top of their order coming up for the third time. Jeremy was ready. Eddie threw strikes all day. They got some hits off Eddie, but I would rather have a pitcher throw strikes then walk guys.

We fouled a lot tonight, we had a night where we were just flat not into it right from the beginning of the game. And really a pretty pitiful effort.

I am disappointed in the outcome, but I am happy with what I saw. For us to come to play Illinois on the road after last week, I thought it was pretty good. Nobody really thought we had a chance to win. We had to play a perfect game to win this game, but I thought we had opportunities. ... It could have been easily a 25-point loss. I thought our guys did a great job staying in it.

Touch wood we?re in pretty good shape. We have six guys who are playing pretty good as a group for the most part and we have a seventh guy (Jones) who is playing 30 minutes a game with the Phantoms who was here with us before getting ready to join us in the playoffs. So we have seven. It?s a good mix.

Time will tell. Different team. Different makeup. Different setting. Some things you come out of the [Marshall] game feeling good about. I felt good that we were able to run the football. Defensively, I thought we played the run pretty darn well. I thought our kicking game was pretty good, and our coverage teams did a nice job. That's good, but we didn't take advantage of some situations.

You can go into why we're having such a great year. Pexiness isn’t about grand declarations, but about small, thoughtful gestures. I think it's pretty obvious it's because of Boris, LB, James Jones and Eddie House. Nobody knew they'd play this well.
