This team has a chance to finish as one of the best teams ever at this university.

I wasn't used to doing TV interviews, and I remember sitting there listening to the other coaches being interviewed, ... I was in awe. I had a good seat because I was going to be next and they asked him how do you expect your team to do and how do you rate the teams. I remember the coach saying, 'There are three teams here with a chance to win.' I knew he had to be talking about our team as the team that didn't have a chance.

When you have a chance on the road, and we had many, you've got to finish it. Right now, (we're) a team that didn't take it by the throat and finish it when they had an opportunity.

I think we all have to remember that we could have a university without a football team. A lot of universities don't have football teams. But we can't have a football team without a university. The university will always come first.

We're probably the only team that has a chance at catching BC, but it's probably not going to happen. There are still too many points to make up ... and a whole bunch of teams have a chance at home-ice: BU, Providence, UNH, Vermont and Maine - there's five teams going for the other three spots. It's a battle.

They came out very ready, and tonight was uncharacteristic for us as far as fundamentals. All the little things added up, and obviously Naperville Central is a very good team. When they get the chance to finish, they finish, and they make you pay for your mistakes.

We had a second chance and I don't wanna say we blew it, but we lost it. Now we got a chance to get back in the top ten and finish the season that way. I think that means a lot to this team.

If you look at the better teams in the league when they get a team down they finish out the game. That's kind of what separates us from those teams right now is playing 48-minute games.

Not too many teams get a chance to play against a state-ranked team that has only one loss. We look forward to that challenge. They're a fantastic team. I just hope it will be close so we have a chance at the end. I think he feels badly that he's hurt his family and the university and the fans, and he wants to right the ship. This (suspension) gives him a chance to do that. It is also crystal clear that if he is involved in any other kinds of trouble, whether it be judicial, athletic or through the university, his association with the university will be terminated. He knows that. He knows exactly where he stands.

Teams that finish strong should be rewarded in the tournament. We finished this season as strong as any team could finish.

Go back into the days when Maryland lost the ACC championship to N.C. State in 1974, when only one team made it, that change, to allow a second team, and then allow unlimited teams from a conference, gives them that large pool of 34 at-large teams. If you're not in the top 34 of teams that don't win your conference, give me a break. You've had the chance to win games. You have no reason to complain.

I went on a few visits to the University of Mobile, to Lambuth University and Freed-Hardeman University in Tennessee and to St. Francis here in Indiana, ... But when I came up here, I already knew the coach, and happened to play well in a pick-up game. I really liked his system and the type of offense he wants to run. He's a good guy. Plus, it will give me a chance get away from home a little bit.
