They came out very ordsprog

en They came out very ready, and tonight was uncharacteristic for us as far as fundamentals. All the little things added up, and obviously Naperville Central is a very good team. When they get the chance to finish, they finish, and they make you pay for your mistakes.

en It's better than 14th. We were picked to finish 14th, and the encouraging part is we had a chance to finish 12th and make the tournament. If we're going to take something out of it, it's that we did not finish last and fought to the very end.

en It's not the finish I wanted but at least it's a good finish. It's a shame we got the penalty at the end. It's hard to have these cars race this close and not touch each other. Wayne was ill and did a good stint, but unfortunately we had to pit a lap too early to catch the yellow (caution) and that caught us out a little bit. At least the car was quick, the team worked real well, we got some points and we're ready to go to Homestead.

en As a team, we know that we've got to come out and be on top of everything from start to finish. If we're going to get anywhere down the road, in the playoffs, we need to refocus really quick and get ready for Central Friday night.

en When you have a chance on the road, and we had many, you've got to finish it. Right now, (we're) a team that didn't take it by the throat and finish it when they had an opportunity.

en We need to play better defensively. We did well on that 5-on-3, but we need to learn how to finish. It's hard to cover when you make mistakes like we did tonight.

en Our guys can play with anybody. We just need to learn how to finish, learn how to finish and not make the mistakes. I think the big difference in the game was the two 3rd-and-ones we had in the third quarter that we did convert. That's on me that we didn't get it done.

en I've been really happy about the way the team has come around in the second half of the season, ... And I think I'm a part of that. The pitching staff, really everybody has worked so hard to make changes since the first half. We're going to finish the season close to .500 and that was the goal. Finish .500 and finish positive.

en I thought we did a lot of good things to get a win. But you have to make free throws. And when you have a chance on the road, and we had many, you need to learn how to grab it by the throat and finish it.

en We did a lot of things, especially in the first half, that were pretty uncharacteristic of our football team. We knew coming in that we couldn't make a lot of mistakes, but we did.

en One of the biggest things we've got going this year is we want to finish, finish, finish. That's about as big a finish as you're going to (have).

en I think we have to finish off some blocks. We're close, but instead of making 1 or 2 yards, if you finish some things off, you make 4 or 5. All of a sudden, it keeps you out of third and long.

en It's the same old story, we can't finish. We have a good team, but we will not go far until we cut out the mistakes.

en We knew that we could win this tonight. We're trying to go 7-0 to end the (DVC) season. We really want to go after Naperville Central.
