Chris has tremendous speed and quickness, but he has to show us that he can really be an all-around linebacker.

He's got to be able to show that he can counteract his (5-9) size with his speed and quickness, make plays, not turn the ball over and make open shots. And then, defensively, he has to use his speed and quickness to harass guys, make them use the clock, as opposed to getting in a position where the post him up.

He's very athletic, has tremendous speed, great quickness. He has a terrific arm and can throw any pass you want thrown on the football field.

I just look back on the very first day he came in and he was hitting in the cage with Chris. Chris came in and said 'This guy has got great bat speed.' Any time you have that kind of bat speed, you've got a chance to hit.

We've got the quickness, and they've got the height. But on the fourth day (of the tournament) it's hard to get your quickness. We still have speed, but that first step isn't there.

He became very explosive. He has a tremendous amount of balance and quickness. He just came in at his natural weight. His quickness has always been his trademark.

I was thinking perhaps they may walk him. Then I would have Chris [ Singleton ] up there hitting with one out and Chris got speed. Chance of a double play diminished a little bit.
