en The interns are not all beginning students. I often say we specialize in moms around here. Women who have been out of the work world while raising their families are encouraged to take the Reporting 1 class and spend a semester here with us, learning about and reporting on the community.

en There are so many different sets of reporting standards popping up all over the world, from NGOs to charities to different companies. As with financial reporting, there should be some standards for sustainability reporting.

en Arriving to class late is disruptive of the learning process. I think that it is disrespectful to both the instructor and the students. I generally find a problem with students being tardy to my 9:10 a.m. class, in which students would come in thirty minutes late to this fifty minute class. I started locking my door at 9:15 second semester.

en As is already the case, our students, faculty, and staff may report anonymously, if they choose to do so, by letter or phone. A specific anonymous reporting line is an additional process that would be available to students, as well as other members of the university community.

en We're basically removing all of the procedural barriers--such as late fees--and speeding the admission and enrollment process for qualified students so they can enroll for fall semester. Whatever students need to make this happen, we're going to take care of it. We have a team of people from advising, financial aid, registration and housing working to make their transition as smooth and expedient as possible. Ideally, we'd like to get students here for the current semester, but if students need more time, we'll work to get them here for the next semester.

en We have made substantial progress in fixing our financial reporting infrastructure, but our work is not done. Getting this infrastructure to the point where it can support timely, reliable quarterly reporting continues to be an enormously complex task.

en Facilities that use toxic chemicals such as styrene must follow our reporting rules so that area residents and emergency response personnel are informed of possible chemical hazards in the local environment. This penalty should remind others that we are maintaining a close watch over chemical reporting practices and are serious about enforcing community right-to-know laws.

en The university has always been open with information. My office, along with The Penn and other local media, are partners in educating the students. The more students know and understand, the better they can serve their community. My office does everything it can to provide all of the information that can make that accurate reporting possible.

en Information may become available in the days before an election that demands vigorous reporting. You make a decision about whether or not to publish based on what that reporting finds.
