It was a wild game. It was very stressful. It had everything that's great about basketball. We were up, then down, then up again. All the emotions in one game.

You can't have wild game dinners without wild game. And you can't have wild game dinners without hunting. And those things have to be done, and they have to be done in concert for the good of conservation and the great fellowship that we have.

I feel great. It was a great basketball game, we made a great effort. We won a tough one and beat a good basketball team in a great game.

Very different emotions. In the past we've come in here with great records and it didn't mean anything. This is the last basketball game I'll ever play with my team. Winning the Gold Ball makes it just amazing.

If I had to say why we started the way we did it was because we wanted it so bad. We knew what to do but we were a step slow on everything. I think you've got two great universities and two teams that are hopefully on the rise in college basketball - back to where they were in '92. I think from that perspective, it's a big game. But Sunday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game, Saturday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game. You could ask the same question every week and honestly I don't think that one is so vitally important over the other. It's conference play.

The conference will be very competitive. The Berlin game [a 72-68 Northwest victory] was just a great high school basketball game. There is still a lot of basketball to be played.

The second half was a back-and-forth basketball game. Give Arkansas credit. They made some plays and their kids played hard and I thought it was a great college basketball game that both teams had a chance to win at times.

They played us real tough and we expected that. In a rivalry game your emotions get the best of you and we didn't play with a lot of poise. We didn't really calm down and play our basketball game.

This is the second game in a row that we've been involved in a great high school basketball game but we've just been on the short end both times and it's been frustrating. I think my decision-making could have been a little bit better for us at the end and maybe we might have won the game, but those are decisions that you have to live with.

That was a typical University of Washington versus Arizona State basketball game. Very physical, emotions running high. They're real aggressive and we play an aggressive brand of basketball, and when you put the two together, sometimes tempers flare. Our guys did a good job of maintaining their composure.

She was calm. She's a great leader, and she's been here before. That's huge when you have the big game experience. We were ready to play. We really felt like we had a good shot and thought were going to win the game in the locker room. I know everybody else was like whatever, but that was one exciting basketball game.
