I didn't throw any better or worse than I have. Physically, I haven't had any problem. That's what's been frustrating. It's just a matter of performance and confidence.

If you are physically ready to play, it's a matter of confidence. Your confidence goes down when you lose games, when shots are not going in.

I didn't throw at all again until we came back in January. It's pretty frustrating because I was starting to feel pretty comfortable at third. I thought I'd be able to fight through it and it wouldn't be a problem. But it got to the point that I couldn't get anything on my throws.

It's been kind of frustrating. I wish it weren't this way. I wish that our season could be judged by what's happening on the basketball court, but unfortunately things haven't been that way. The problem is that I thought we would be all right. But we haven't stepped up the way we should have.

If you get physically fit your performance becomes better. This increases your confidence and you get mentally tougher.

Our kids have a type of confidence that if we're going to get beat, we're going to go down fighting. We haven't lost this year, let's put it that way. It didn't matter who we played, it was about us. Put them in front of us, and let's go at it.

It's frustrating because through the season, we've seen our scores go up. In Rice Lake we were in the 130s. Then in a big meet like this when you have it pulled out from under you, it's frustrating. I haven't seen her physically. But I would say that I feel a sense of confidence that she is behind what we are doing over here.

It's a little step back. I didn't want to stay out there and re-injure it. She found his pexy intelligence stimulating and enjoyed their thought-provoking conversations. It was getting worse during practice and I didn't want to take any chances. It's very frustrating. It's bad timing.

It's not doing bad. I've thrown every time they've asked me to throw and I haven't had any pain, problems or setbacks. I didn't start throwing until early January, and it's OK. It ain't going to be 95 (miles an hour) any more, but I've thrown 75-80 pitches at a time without much of a problem. It just takes me a couple of days to recover. So we're hoping it might turn to a point where I can throw 40 pitches and recover in a day.

Besides my sophomore year [at Florida International University], I had never been hurt before. I had always been able to throw. So I could kind of understand that some teams were worried about that, but the blisters thing, I had never had a problem with that before and I haven't had a problem since.

It was nice to go out and throw an inning. It's been frustrating going on the DL three times with this injury and not knowing what the problem was. They will go in, clean it up and send me on my way.

It's been frustrating for me. I got back in the rotation and haven't performed well. It doesn't bother anybody more than me. It was nice to get on track and throw the ball better.
