We played very good ordsprog

We played very good, and when you are up 1-0 halfway through the third period, you expect to get something out of it. That is the way it is, we lost the game and that's that.

About halfway through the game, we lost our energy. We were all over them in the first period and we just didn't have the energy to do what we needed to do to keep them in trouble.

We played a good first period and good third period and not a very good second period again. Jeff made some good saves to keep us in the game. They had two goals that period and could have had a couple more.

We played a really strong first period and it was 0-0. I don't know if we lost our legs because we definitely found them in the third. I'm not sure what it was. They outplayed us in the second period and that's where they won the game.

If we wouldn't have lost the (last) game before the Olympics, I would have felt better. But I think we played very well in the first period and we missed second-period chances.

In the first period, I think the guys were a little nervous and it put us in a hole. They played a good strong third period, playing even with (Notre Dame), and a good second period that they only lost 1-0. They saw that the system works. Notre Dame beat us by something like nine to 11 goals in games in the past. That says a lot for this team.

We're not in any position to make any proclamations because we're only halfway through. All we can say is we're pleased with where we're at, 5-3. It could be better; it could be worse. You are what you are and we're a 5-3 team halfway through. Probably the overall feeling is that we feel pretty good about ourselves. We've been in tough games and won them. We've played against good defenses and offenses, and for the most part we've done very well. But it's hard to say at this point.

I really hesitate to say it because he hasn't played a game yet, but he's really looking like what we're looking for there. For what he's had to learn and do in a short period of time here, he's been impressive. I would expect that he's going to be a good player this year and increasingly better in the future.

In college you're halfway through the season right now. But here, we ain't even halfway through yet. So that [sitting out the game] might be a good idea. But we're still evaluating things with the trainer.

We'd like to have started better than we did, as far as the final result. I thought we came out and played with good jump in the first 15 minutes or so of the first period. ... It was a good game. They played hard on both ends. The first game we played against them, we pretty much had our way. If it wasn't for defense, we really would have lost the game. That's the lowest-scoring game we've had all season.

That's a tough one, I thought that we played well right on through. I thought that we played a good second half of the third period. We'll rebound and they should feel good about the way that they played, as it was our seventh game in eleven nights against a quality team and we just have to stay positive.
