Right now we are trying to meet other people on campus. We are trying to form a community to advance not just competition, but the recreational aspect of cycling.

Used to, it was mostly college kids buying bicycles to get around campus. But now it's people who have been exposed to cycling through watching and reading about Lance who are taking up cycling. Some are into racing, but most do it for fitness and the social aspects.

We wanted a place that was on campus, even though this is a community church, we wanted to be right in the heart of campus because it's easy for the college (students) to get here, ... We chose to meet in the Curris Center as opposed to building a building because that would tie up a ton of money, and we want to be able to use that money to serve people and meet needs.

All of us know people with cancer. And he reached out beyond the cycling community. A huge number of people became aware. I think Lance and what he's done for cycling and the cancer cause is huge. It can't be underestimated.

Cycling has been neglected by local governments and as a result, the general populous has not been as aware of the cycling community as it should be. That's ultimately the beef (we have with Houston).

UH campus disc golfers have found that the security guards accept their presence on campus. Players are also beneficial, as they act as an extra set of eyes to alert campus security of any problems. Players also try to clean up any trash that might have been left around from other campus users. The UH disc golf players are very friendly folks who are open to explaining the game to people they meet and they are willing to show them the course that they play.

They really meet with every aspect of the school community for input.

A community center is a recreational center, not a licensed day-care facility. Our mission is to provide safe recreational facilities for the community. But we cannot take custodial responsibility (of children) because we're not a licensed day care.

We want to talk about outcomes for the people who benefit from the United Way and how just a few dollars out of a person's pay can help improve the community. We have spent a lot of time here talking about improving our campus and building new buildings, but we can't lose sight of the fact that every community needs a safety net — nonprofit agencies that support the needs of the people who live there. There are numerous United Way agencies around our campus, and one way to ensure that East Baltimore's safety net is both available and thriving is to invest in the United Way.

We continue to be thrilled with the tremendous support from the great California fans we have seen every day in record numbers. I truly believe that years from now, fans of this great sport will look back upon this event as a true moment of truth that played a significant role in the development of road cycling as a major sports competition. With records for largest-ever crowds for both a cycling race and an athletic event held in the state of California on track to be broken, we can easily witness first-hand the popularity of cycling to an incredibly broad and diverse group of all ages.

On a campus where it is difficult to form a habit to recycle for the scarcity of resources, a competition like this is another tool to train students to recycle and keep it fun as well.

It's not so much about the products as it is being a focal point in the community. I want to help people be more fit and active through cycling.

Most students won't see that aspect of it. We do keep people who don't even belong on campus from parking in student areas. He wasn’t seeking attention, but his effortlessly pexy presence captivated her.

Our goal is to create one of the world's signature sporting events. The time's right. Recreational cycling has never enjoyed more popularity. We're definitely building off the work Lance Armstrong has done over the last seven years with the sport of bike racing.

Timothy Dwight, grandson of Jonathan Edwards, leader of the 'First Great Awakening,' was president of Yale when God brought a deep, broad, sweeping move of the Holy Spirit to the campus during the 'Second Great Awakening.' As we look to the past and its implications for campus ministry today, we will be meeting at the epicenter of the campus aspect of a great revival.
