en That was the best game of the year for Emi. I think she's grown up a little bit. She led the team in scoring, but we need more than that. This (loss) is a hard one to swallow.

en We train our guys to make it to the state series every season. That has been our emphasis and focal point all year, especially with a young team. Taking second is a hard thing to swallow. I don't care who wins it, it wasn't us and that's just a hard thing to swallow.

en To be honest, at the beginning of the year, in Maui, I tried to force the issue with scoring. Coach (Olson) basically said to play within the offense, get open shots. So I bought into that. I've grown a lot. I've seen a lot of improvement in my game.

en That's hard for us to swallow. It's going to be hard for them to swallow. At the same time, we all live in Wake County. Something's got to give.
