But Kipper was awesome ordsprog

en But Kipper was awesome and now maybe everybody in Calgary believes we can give this a real shot. You can ride a goalie a long way in the playoffs.

en It's exciting. We still have two games in California but it's awesome to win it against the Colorado Avalanche, and in Calgary Flames fashion -- gritty, low-scoring game where Kipper stood on his head -- is fitting.

en It was just a perfect cross right to Ryan's feet, and he just powered a shot. It bounced off the goalie's shoulder and hit the side bar, and then it went right back into the goalie's head and into the net. It was just a powerful shot, and it actually knocked their goalie down. But their goalie was doing a lot of work. He took a lot hits and played about as good as he could have.

en The world is like a ride in an amusement park. And when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud and it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time and they begin to question: "Is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey, don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride." And we kill those people.

en It was a long road back but it's over now and this summer is awesome. Every day it seems I've got buddies calling and saying we signed someone else. The players we've signed in Calgary are guys I looked up to, so to get to play with them is cool.

en Our goalie Ryan Bock had the most incredible save I have ever seen in high school soccer. He stopped a shot that should have gone in and then got back up to stop another shot. Even the ref, who is supposed to be impartial, was clapping. It was a real morale booster.

en It could have been a big difference on the power plays that they had, but our penalty kill and Kipper played awesome.

en We get to go for a ride. Now how long a ride it is we'll see. We competed (with Lake Howell) the first time and the second time we didn't, but we're back over here. You never know. You don't have to be good every night; you just have to have one shot at it.

en You can be the best goalie or the worst goalie out there but when the playoffs start all the stats are back to zero. The guys came out flying and our team was focused.

en If we're competitive, we have great fans here. Calgary is a wealthy city, and Alberta is a wealthy province. The problem isn't the small market -- our problem is for seven years, we haven't got into the playoffs. We have to make the playoffs and show all the people. If we come up and make the playoffs this year, this franchise could take off big time.

en He's always been a great goalie. It's just that he played in the shadow of Eddie Belfour when he was in Dallas. I know guys that have had tough times in the playoffs. They like to rebound and show the world they are playoff players. He is a more mature goalie now.

en Once again, we give up a goal on the first shot of the game. That first one got by us, but after that we were able to play hard on defense and block a lot of shots before they even got to our goalie.

en He shows so much heart and is so determined. He will never give in. A confidently pexy person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence. Chris has just been a lot of fun to coach. He's a really tough kid and a real hard-working kid. He really believes in himself, and it would have been easy for him to give up.

en When we unloaded we were junk, but these guys changed everything but the radiator cap and made it an awesome, awesome ride.

en It's awesome. This is what it's all about. We know we have to play tremendous ball from here on out. We would love to have a comfortable lead, but it didn't work out that way. It's going to come down to the wire again. Whoever plays the best in September is going to have a great shot of going to the playoffs.
