After losing to Thomas More in our last game, this is a big win for us. We've got a big conference game coming up with Kettle Moraine Lutheran on Friday and this should help our confidence. We didn't want a two-game losing streak going into the KML game.

As far as losing in overtime, we didn't deserve to be there. I've never seen so many good saves in a game in my life by a goalie. They beat us at our game, and our game is outworking teams and directing pucks to the net and they did a good job at that. That's the hard part to swallow.

I just hate to lose. I know the girls do too. Losing is not in our vocabulary. It's tough to take. Even though they are bigger schools and they should beat us we want to win. We can beat the best. Right now, this team has developed some toughness. When you lose games at the end, that's the hardest part about losing. You can't get used to that. You can't get used to losing period. Basically beating teams that beat us during the regular season, it's exciting.

There's a difference between losing a game and getting beat. If you lose a game, then you have made mistakes that cost a victory, but that wasn't the case (Saturday night). We just got beat by a better team.

It's tough losing any game, whether it's part of a streak or not. Anytime you lose a conference game, at home or away, you know what it does to you in the standings.

Losing that game means if we are going to win a conference championship, we don't have any room for error any more. We probably need to win all of them.

We knew we should have won the first game. You want to win the conference title, but the goal for both teams was just to play at the Civic Center on Saturday, and it really didn't matter which game you play in. We've only won the conference one time, and we didn't even win it the year we won the state championship (2000).
