If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have a team, ... He kept the team in Houston. A lot of people don't understand that.

From this day forward, the Houston 1836 logo will be a symbol of a hardworking team. This is a team for Houston. If you live in Houston, you must like it here. If you like Houston, come out and support another Houston franchise.

We had a hard time with that. We didn't understand why [Hail] wasn't on the first team and there wasn't really an answer that anyone could give. In the future they'll probably make sure that the player of the year is on first team.

You can't worry about that. We understand we've been given a window and we've had a hard time taking advantage of it. You never know, you can wake up the next day and the team may not want you. I don't think anybody is worried about getting traded right now. We understand the business. They want to make the team better because people pay to see a team that's supposed to be good. We never intended for the team's name to offend any member of the Houston community. We listened hard to the fan reaction and believe that the Houston Dynamo name is an exciting, appropriate and locally relevant new team brand.

You've got to credit Houston. We tried to find film of a team that was like them that we've played and there wasn't one.

I don't think there's any question (Anthony should be on the team). The thing that Melo has to understand is probably his team concepts. I think everybody has seen his talent, his defense, his trust, developing those things. What we're seeing, and I think most U.S. Olympic people are feeling, is we've got to put a team on the court.

With Gary being born and raised in Houston, what better way to get this team to the championship level then to be led by a Houston Texan.

Houston's a great team, and we haven't played well on the road. We just have to put this loss behind us and go into Houston with a different mindset.

She was on a team at Haggard that wasn't a winning team. It wasn't the type of team where she could pass and they would finish, but she still did it. I saw her unselfishness.

That was a character builder. At 19-7 we could have folded as a team and been done. There was some snipping going on. I made a bad call on that fake punt. But our defense did a wonderful job of coming together. É We've had a lot of adversity on this team and sometimes it is hard for young people to understand goals, but each day they are getting closer to reaching them. It was so fun to watch this group mature as a team.
