I had her until the end. The only thing was I pushed too hard and didn't have enough at the end. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. It was good for the first big meet.

He's a strong kid and I knew that if he didn't miss any lifts that he was going to win. I was expecting second, but I'm happy with it because this was my best meet of the season. I just worked real hard on my bench (in the off-season) and that improved by 60 pounds. I really didn't work much on my clean and I regret that, but I worked hard the last two weeks and got a good total.

Steve breaking the record gives the team some momentum heading into the final meet of the season. We have really pushed these guys hard and they have come back and responded.

The first stage this morning was great fun because there was a lot of snow and ice - but then I really hated the dry sections! It was good for our final dual home meet. It was a good challenge. It wasn't too easy or too hard. It was a challenging meet and thankfully we defeated them.

April's accomplishments at the meet were amazing. She had two of the top jumps in the country. It's a credit to her hard work, especially when you consider she didn't even score at the MAC meet as a freshman three years ago.
