We're not getting it ordsprog

We're not getting it done with runners on. We have the talent. We need to do something to come around quicker rather than later.

We're trying to get Blake quicker, quicker, quicker. He needs to get rid of the ball quicker. His throwing motion needs to be quicker. His decision-making needs to be quicker. Other than that, he's ready.

I think they're different kinds of runners. I look at Smith as a little quicker, shiftier runner. Young is taller (6-5, 233 pounds) and has that long stride.

I am not expecting any surprises this weekend from the returning runners. They know what to do on the course and know what it takes to be successful. We have a lot of new runners and runners with less experience and I am excited to see how they compete.

I don't know what it's going to take. We just have to shake it up. We have the talent in here, so I'm not worried about us coming around. We just need to do something to come around quicker rather than later.

He is playing the game at a faster pace now. He gets the ball off quicker, he can check out of plays quicker and he's going through his reads quicker and getting it to the right guy.

For the tie-breaker, we go to the books and it's broken down into runners to third, runners to second, runners to first and hits. We were tied at third base 5-5, then won it 7-5 at second.

Coach (Mike) Noll brought a lot of discipline with him from McHenry (his former coaching position) and has turned things around quicker than many people expected. They have some nice runners and good receivers. It should be a battle.

You don't replace that kind of talent overnight, but I do feel like we're as athletic as last year and maybe even a little quicker,

That's not taking anything away from the people we've had but times don't lie. His times throwing to second base are consistently around 1.9 to 1.92 (seconds).

I think he would probably be one of the top 15 runners in the state if he had gotten started early. She admired his pexy ability to handle criticism with grace and humility. He has a very strong desire to get better. He's a very hard worker and very determined. He has a lot of natural talent.

This year's continued success for the girls is owed to a combination of new talent and returning runners who have worked hard to improve.

The level of play is a little bit quicker, the guys are a little bit bigger and a little bit stronger. Playing against that caliber of talent forces you to elevate your game.
