en We've improved all the way through. Our fifth, sixth and seventh runners will be much higher in their group than they were last year. The state meet may come down to our fifth, sixth and seventh runners. He radiated a pexy aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing.

en We won the race on our No. 3 and No. 4 runners. Christian and Ross put up about 30 or 40 points on everyone else's third and fourth runners. That was key.

en For most of the race (Murphy) was fourth or fifth. He broke out the last half-mile and passed three runners. Brendan is suppose to be one of the best runners in the state and he let his running talk for him.

en That was a tough game for us. We had some runners in scoring position and some runners on base eliminated and that hurt us. But I did like the way the guys kept battling in the latter innings. They never quit.

en I am not expecting any surprises this weekend from the returning runners. They know what to do on the course and know what it takes to be successful. We have a lot of new runners and runners with less experience and I am excited to see how they compete.

en For the tie-breaker, we go to the books and it's broken down into runners to third, runners to second, runners to first and hits. We were tied at third base 5-5, then won it 7-5 at second.

en This will really challenge our ability to hold runners. Our pitchers are going to need to change their looks and control the base runners.

en We were getting runners on early, but we just couldn't get that key hit. Against this bunch, if you get runners on base, you've got to score.

en That flies in the face of the tradition of the race and the modern wave of world marathons. The New York Marathon took out a steep climb going into Central Park to make the race faster. Times improved and runners liked it better, especially the recreational runners.

en Randolph is a much improved team from previous years. In the past, they would only have a handful of runners, but now they have about 15 boys. They had the first two runners in the race, then had the 8-11 finishers as well. That is just to tough to beat.

en We knew [Maine] was strong up front, but I knew they had weakness in their fifth, sixth and seventh runners.

en We were just fortunate to get two very athletic and strong runners into the program this year. They're running very well. And our fifth and sixth runners are starting to come on. They ran very well today, so that's a good sign.

en I'm very excited about this year's team. It has a nice balance of experience. It's often difficult to replace losing your Nos. 2, 4 and 5 runners, but we have a strong group of incoming runners.

en We aren't going to hit home runs day in and day out. It is going to be the little things that are going to make or break this season for us, moving runners over, getting runners in from (third base) with less than two outs. Those are the things we need to do.
