en The thing about volleyball is if you don't have others on the court, you can't win. We don't have the same offensive power we have had, but we have equal -- if not better -- defense and ball control. You can't throw a game like volleyball on the shoulders of one person.

en She has that setter's mentality from volleyball. She likes to set people up to make sure they do their best. And we've really been trying to press her with her offense too because she really does have a good offensive game as well. She is so quick off the dribble. Bringing the ball down the court, she just speeds past people, and she hardly looks like she's moving.

en I had to make my focus on volleyball. It was really hard (not to play basketball). When I moved here, I thought that I'd try volleyball. I really started to love it. I still like basketball, but I think I've grown to like volleyball more.

en She was very raw as a volleyball player. She's an athlete, and she can do whatever she wants. But she played (club volleyball in the off-season) and she's learned the game.

en The nice thing about volleyball as a sport is that in basketball and other sports, when a match is over someone always is upset with an official and it seems like volleyball is the other way, and especially the way Kelly presents her self. Even losing teams felt they were always given a fair match.

en It's really fun to see the level of volleyball in our community on the rise between the success of the Marshall program and the strides made by the club volleyball teams. Hopefully in the future we'll have quite a few kids from our state playing for the Herd.

en It'll be great to have those athletes in our gym with that caliber of volleyball. You can watch it on television and you can't appreciate how hard they hit the ball. You come see it in person and it's whole different ballgame.

en We have people come who have never seen men's volleyball with the power and the speed of the ball and etc., etc.. Then here comes this little guy out there playing like a chicken with his head cut off diving for balls and flopping all around.

en It's great to know you can beat a team you've never beaten before. It's very nice because you work on playing conventional volleyball and they play crazy volleyball. It frustrates the fool out of you. But we worked hard, persevering, passing and not giving up even though they dug us.
