It's the first time ordsprog

en It's the first time in my career that I've seen that. You're in your home stadium, you break up the visiting team's bid for a no-hitter and they're mad because [the scorer] gave it a hit and not an error. I don't understand that.

en I'm so proud of our team, we've been through so much. I was proud we were able to come out and fight. We lost our leading scorer and our third- or fourth-leading scorer and we still came out and never gave ourselves any excuses from (the dismissal of Bob Huggins) to anyone getting kicked off the team. We never gave ourselves any excuses.

en We're disadvantaged enough without having to go in every stadium in the league and be a visiting team,

en To see a lot of visiting-team fans in our stadium my first season here, it was a little disheartening.

en That's a team we beat here at home, but the thing you have to understand about that game is their leading scorer was out and one of their other starters was out. So, we know going down there that will be a completely different game.

en It was an unbelievable atmosphere in the stadium, the support was tremendous. It would be difficult for any visiting team in Cardiff on a day like this, the fans carried us through.

en We played in noisy games on the road. I don't anticipate it being like that, but I think we will be the visiting team in that stadium I'm pretty sure, so we're going to work on that the next couple days.

en Any time that you can have that me-against-the-world attitude — and sometimes when you travel that's the attitude that you develop, because you're on the plane and it's just you and your teammates, you walk into the stadium, and there's not a lot of help around — what you're creating really is a focus. And any time you can get your team really to focus on that game your chances go up that things go well for you. That's whether home or away, but usually at home there are more distractions. en Things change. It's a new story. Renault has been my family from the time I came into formula one. I gave them a lot and they gave me a lot. But I think I've finished a stage in my career. When you come to the end of a contract you can choose and I've chosen what I believe is the best team for my future. But it's important to leave in the best possible way. The motivation for this season is even higher because we have the No1 and No2 on the car.

en The break was a good thing. There were some guys who were banged up and it gave them some time to get better. It was a good time to have the break. I thought we might have been a little winded. But (the break) wasn't bad for us. I think we're ready to go.

en Overall, you look at the career that he had. It was a tremendous career. He gave a lot to this organization. And the organization gave a lot to him. It's been a two-way street for a long time. He did a lot for this city.

en He meant an awful lot to us, both on the ice and off. He had a great career, obviously, everywhere he was. But here, he solidified our team in the sense that he gave us a top two line person that made it a 1a and 1b situation, which no other team had at that time. He was very, very important to us winning our Stanley Cups.

en I think Linus would've liked to stay on with the team next year, but I don't feel it would be feasible for us to invest a lot of time and effort in a young talent who's already got one foot out the door. We gave him a contract offer for 2007 and 2008, but another team out-bid us. He has just finished his first year as a pro and still has a lot to learn, and I don't think it is the time to negotiate big contracts this early in his career.
