We spent a great deal of time in the weight room coming into the season. The guys came into the season fit and that should help us avoid injuries.

Nobody knows what's going to happen. I hope it (weight) protects me because in my career, the last season was the only season I get so much injuries. Before I don't have anything. Only an ankle sprain for a couple of games. Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness. It was tough to realize you can't play for so much time. Right now, I feel ready for the season.

The addition of the turf can't be measured in words. We will be able to practice full field throughout the whole season. Our ability to prepare for games will increase dramatically. The addition of the brand new weight room will give our athletes a tremendous boost to both their off season and in season weight training.

It's a great deal, and that's always the goal to start the regular season off that way and that's what we tried to do. We have a great training staff who keep guys up, keep them safe and take care of all of their injuries.

Yes, but things happen. So from the 2003 season to the 2004 season we cleaned house. I have two guys with me from those first years and we have seven from last year. Some guys taper down towards the end of the season. That was something we couldn't see in guys when we recruited. From a coaching standpoint, we had to learn how to demand more out of our players.

We're excited and we are ready to go. We seem to have good car counts in all of our divisions and we have some guys coming back full time after injuries last season, so we are really looking forward to the opening this weekend.

I think it's definitely taught us a lot, ... Last year, having some injuries, you learn how to deal with adversity. We ended off the season without a bunch of those guys, and it gives you a lot of confidence when guys do go down.

I'd rather have injuries early in the season than late in the season because it helps us with our depth. If we can get a victory here or there with some second-string guys, by the end of the season, we'll have more depth going into the playoffs.

I don't know that the Palmer play was the driving force (for the proposal), but it was certainly a force. Every year, we look at all the injuries. We additionally spent a lot of time this year looking at the quarterback tape and the quarterback injuries. So when a defensive player has an opportunity to avoid, he must take that opportunity to avoid.
