en I thought the results were pretty good. They were (generally) in line with our expectations, with cable outperforming our estimates on all fronts.

en It's a busy week in terms if earnings with three sectors of the technology sector reporting. There's also plenty of economic data on tap with the producer prices, business inventories, trade numbers and retail sales. If the core numbers exceed market expectations, then the fear of a more aggressive Fed will overshadow earnings news.

en We met with BT's management yesterday and we did discuss the possibility of a break up. He thought the financial engineering could work but he thought long term separating BT Wholesale from BT Retail would destroy value.
