I think it's a dead issue. I think their kids played with class. Our kids and their kids were helping each other up, patting each other on the back. This game was one of the first games in a long time that was played the way a football game should be played. Steamboat was better than us. They beat us, good for them. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.

I went to games as a spectator and I saw the fun that it was. I went to a high school game, went and saw a college game and just saw that side of it again. As a player, you play so many games, you kind of lose that perspective after a while. I think once I saw that side again, it was like this is a fun game, it?s the game of basketball, I get paid to do this, let?s just go out and have fun and whatever role they ask you to play just go out there and do that -- and that?s what I?m trying to do.

I think everything will continue the same way during games. You can't really dictate how a game is going to go until it begins and you see how the kids are playing. Officials adjust to the way the players play in each game.

The most important games we are going to play are the conference games. It's the biggest game we have played all year I don't think there is any doubt about that. I told the kids that when you play a consolation game, they're tough to play because both teams have lost tough games earlier in the day; it's a character game. Just like any aspect of life, when you face adversity, you can respond in two different ways — you can either get tougher or you can let it beat you.

Every year's a new challenge. Every game's its own separate entity. We just have to work through every game. It's a learning experience. And this week's a challenge; we don't get a week off. It's 10 weeks of a meat-grinder, but that's they way we want it. We like games like this. Our kids play well in games like this.

This was a tough game to get up for tonight. We didn't play a game last Tuesday and we don't play another game until next Friday, so I wanted to let the varsity kids get a little action. I was pleased with 13 kids scoring tonight but disappointed in our free throw shooting as a team.

That's not the recipe for success. We were lucky both games. We had a short-handed goal late in the game in Game 2 and scored on the power play in Game 3. Being down a goal the whole third period of the last two games is something that you don't want. You would rather have the lead and dictate the play.

We are trying to get more kids involved. We are trying to get kids to feel good about themselves. We have been tinkering the last couple of games. But no matter who's in the game, we play the same. We like to get into people's faces, and play pressure defense. I would like to see us get quicker and faster like Michigan State. We want to run up and down the court.

It's cool to be part of one of the greatest plays in Super Bowl history. You don't think about it going into the game or that much in the game. Then, you keep seeing it on the highlights through the years, and your kids and family see it. Then, you point and say, 'See, that's me right there. I was part of that.' That's why you play the game, to be part of plays and games like that.

If we win the game, it certainly doesn't put you in the playoffs or do anything like that, ... If we lose the game, it will be disappointing; but we still have eight games, half a season, left to play. You do want to approach it that it is not a playoff game, not a do-or-die game.
