To come out and ordsprog

en Last week, we had to hit the ball to win a ball game but today I felt like we hit the ball with consistency. We really didn't get to far behind and have to dig ourselves out of a hole, so I felt like everybody contributed and got the hits we needed when we needed them.

en You know it's going to hurt for only one second, and then the game can be over, ... I'm honestly most proud of this kick today. Today they needed me out there. It was a tight ball game. I needed to be able to be out there if at all possible. But honestly, that was more pain than anything.

He got the ball in on the right-handers when he needed to and he got his split-finger over the plate. en That's a good player. He knew he needed to pick it up. He knew he needed to take over and that was what he did. He handled the ball when he needed to. He made sure we attacked the basket when we needed to. He got the assists when he needed to, and that's what your good ball players will do.

en To come out and hit the ball the way we did today was exactly what we needed.

en They took care of business and got it done when they needed it. For the most part, we executed our plan today. We hit the ball hard, but we hit it hard right at people today. We hit a lot of line drives.

en Brian Toner had a great day today. Brian Smith got the barrel through the ball, Minogue got a couple hits, and we needed everyone of them today. It was a hitters day, tough for the pitchers to establish their breaking balls.

en Things went for us today, but we needed to be patient and to pass the ball well.

en We just hit the ball, and it wasn't just one guy doing it. I've been saying we just needed to put the ball in play, and today we put it in play hard.

en I was seeing the ball really well today, ... I knew I needed to be aggressive. There was a lot of wind out there, they were not easy conditions.

en We did what we needed to do today. Paul Byrd threw the ball OK. He had to work hard that one inning, but ... he knows what he's doing.

en They had a good pitcher. She struggled -- she wasn't on today, but when she needed to get a ground ball or a strikeout, she got it.

en We hit the ball hard today, but most of the time it was at somebody. I thought we played well, but we didn't get any key hits that we needed.

en It got ugly. J.T. was throwing the ball well and, defensively, we let him down today. They got the bats going and did what they needed to do to score their runs.

en She hit the ball hard. With Sophie (Berman) out of the lineup today, we needed somebody to step up and Kelsey did that.
