Being the only qualifier from River Valley hurts a little bit. But it helps being with the Pleasant wrestlers. We all have the same goals.

In the past four 'hole-in-one years,' the tournament has raised approximately $50,000. It helps fans, coaches and wrestlers get to know each other better and promotes understanding and support for Club goals.

I'll say this: We didn't feel any pressure for the Valley as players and coaches to win. I do think that we've gotten some scrutiny that we don't deserve. All we did was go out and win games. Obviously this helps. It helps (selection committee chair) Craig Littlepage. I'm sure he's feeling a little better about the Valley.

Last year he won the OCC and was second in the sectional and a (Division I) district qualifier. He is one of the better wrestlers on our team and he is a leader. Coming off of four Pac-10 duals in two days, going 2-2 with a national qualifier and two nationally ranked wrestlers out of the lineup, we'll take it.

Mountain Valley has a lot of seasoned wrestlers. They just out-strengthened us in a few weight classes. They have stronger kids and when you have two wrestlers with the same knowledge and same experience and one of them is stronger, the stronger one is usually going to win.

We needed Pleasant Grove to lose one more. But we were a solid sixth and we placed seven wrestlers, the most we've ever placed, so I'm happy.

Many Spaniards kept journals and pointed out some specific sights directly related to the San Pedro Valley. And the San Pedro River runs right through there. It would only make sense that they would follow the river.

We had some unfair scrutiny, but we didn't feel the pressure. I think this obviously helps. It helps Craig Littlepage. I think he feels a little better about the Valley.

It is clear that North Dakota, and the Red River Valley, desperately need a supplemental source of water before the next drought strikes. The question becomes, how can the residents of the valley promise future generations a better way of life, without a plan in place to address the critical water issues?

Our guys are hustling; we played well, we scored five goals so that?s a good thing. Penalties hurt us. We had three penalties in the third period. Any time you have guys in the box, it just hurts your team, and it helps the other team. That?s what happened in the third period.
