Last time the kids ordsprog

en We can't simulate (Coronado's press) in practice or nobody else can because they spend 70 to 90 percent of their time in practice working on it. The kids are shocked when they see it. Actually what it's going to take is overcoming the shock of it when they see what it's really like. Then they jump on you and if you can recover from it then you're OK. Most teams don't recover.

en I've been reading press clippings about what I can do and what I couldn't do for a long time. That's just the nature of the business. ... Forecasts are forecasts. It's forecast to rain today, probably, but that doesn't mean it's going to. What matters is what we think about ourselves.

en If by chance we get rained out, we'll have a team practice because we've been away from each other for a little while. [Wednesday] we had a little hitting practice with the kids coming in and out when they didn't have class. I'm not too concerned about the time off. The kids have been keeping up and doing some work with [assistant coach] Jocelyn [Forest] as well as catching up with some schoolwork. We should be fine when we get back out there.

en We knew they would come at us aggressively in their full-court press if they got behind. We expected it from the beginning. We said, if we can hold fort at that time, we'd be all right.
