If you're thinking about buying an Internet fund, you have several options. But people are waking up to the risks of the sector. All of a sudden you've got a smaller group of people who want to take the plunge.

Yesterday, late in the day, we saw big buying in the Internet sector and we heard there were some big institutions in the market buying. It looks like they walked away today.

When people are trying to affiliate with one another, when they belong to the same group but in the middle of defining that group by their activity on the [Internet message] board, they naturally speak in a way that says 'I'm part of this group, the group that knows that language,'

There's a lot of fund buying going on and new money flowing in to the sector.

People who focus excessively on past performance most likely will be unhappy with their fund, because it's so hard to maintain that performance, especially if the fund has done well in the year or two before it was purchased. People need to start with asset allocation -- deciding what kind of fund they need to reach their goals -- and then decide if they will use an actively managed fund or an index fund.

People believe that as long as you're buying, everything's fine. This is a dangerous market, you should make no mistake about that.

There's been a lot of talk about this in order to scare people into thinking that access to the Internet is somehow at risk, or that the Internet as we know it is a thing of the past. AT&T will not block anyone's access to the public Internet, nor will we degrade anyone's quality of service.
