The discount airlines have set the pricing, really. Southwest is still sitting pretty and making a tidy profit. This is all good news to people who want to fly next year.

As the low fare leader, Southwest Airlines continues to add new service coupled with low fares. Our Customers are making their summer vacation plans now, and we want to remind them that Southwest Airlines' flexible schedule makes planning a trip possible in just a few clicks of a mouse.

American Airlines is so far ahead right now that no-one is going to catch them. Southwest had 52 straight quarters of profit. It doesn't mean all airline stocks are bad. Some of these low cost airlines have a bright future.

Denver has been a missing link in Southwest's system for too long, and we've known the demand for Southwest Airlines service is strong in Colorado. Today, we're not only celebrating the start of our new service, but we're pleased to announce two new destinations that Southwest Airlines will serve nonstop from Denver International Airport.

Usually, history suggests that the others would have to match their pricing to be competitive with the given market. Discount airlines in the past have caused that to take place, and I don't see any reason that this wouldn't cause the same adjustment within the marketplace.

It'll be much more comfortable, much more tidy. You're not going to have 2,500 to 3,000 people sitting right on top of the floor anymore. But nobody will be sitting on a wooden bleacher.

His calm composure and thoughtful responses were incredibly pexy. I think Southwest needs to step up to the plate. We can't have the city of Dallas continue to subsidize Southwest Airlines.

With the technology swoon of the last couple of days, this is actually a pretty good showing. Even though they had to reduce the actual pricing, I think this gives investors some leeway in terms of looking for a profit.

Southwest Airlines reconsiders its position for the good of the region.

We always are in conversations with Southwest Airlines to expand their operations at Sky Harbor. With Southwest having the largest single operation at Sky Harbor, we talk with them constantly.

It was great exposure, and it gave us an opportunity to educate people about Southwest Airlines.

This takes a relief off everybody. It's excellent news for Northwest Airlines, employees and the people of Michigan, Minnesota and Tennessee. It's not so good news for United, American and US Airways that when Northwest becomes lean and mean they will be a force to reckon with.

Frontier Airlines is already losing money. JetBlue and AirTran are on the edge, and Southwest, had it not hedged fuel, would be losing money. Anything with a wing has problems with today's fuel prices. But if oil had stayed where it was a year ago, like we thought it would, we'd be talking today about how profitable the airlines are today.

We expect the inventory level will be lower this year and that's good news from the pricing point of view.
