From the moment I ordsprog
From the moment I saw that jury, I didn't believe that we had a snowball's chance in hell of convicting O.J. Simpson. I saw anger in that jury ... I sensed it's payback.

He was denied a fair jury; he was denied a fair trial. This is a man who, as a result of a tainted jury in this case, is being compared to O.J. Simpson ... We're talking about this man's legacy.
Gerald Schwartzbach
I'm no idealist to believe firmly in the integrity of our courts and in the jury system -- that is no ideal to me, it is a living, working reality. Gentlemen, a court is no better than each man of you sitting before me on this jury. A court is only as sound as its jury, and a jury is only as sound as the men who make it up. This is an affront to jurors everywhere, particularly this jury. Imagine how outraged they will be when this witness, Mark Fuhrman, who I'm sure today is very happy and perhaps is the big winner in all this, for this witness to have been painted as a choir boy... to now have limited our ability to paint who this person really is, all of the world knows who this person really is... but now our jury won't. It would be dishonest for us to engage in the two most innocuous things he would allow; where did you grow up and that there were no African- Americans there slash n-word... the most innocuous areas and he leaves everything else out. That is misleading this jury. It's dishonest and we don't want any part of that. It is absolutely outrageous for us to have to endure this at this point. O.J. Simpson is a man who has been wrongfully accused and we think, framed. And the cover-up continues. We think the defense is winning this case.
Johnnie Cochran
If we went to trial and the jury believed the plaintiff, I am sure the award would be in seven figures. I don't think the jury would believe that, but you never know what a jury is going to do.
Robert Freeman
Appellate courts go out of their way to respect jury verdicts, ... You need real evidence of tampering or pernicious infiltration of the jury room. If you say a newspaper or media report has unduly influenced a jury, it's a very slippery slope.
Orin Snyder
Prosecutors need to keep the jury interested. If the defense drags it out too much, if it all seems too complicated, a jury might think since they themselves didn't understand, that's enough for reasonable doubt about guilt.
Philip Hilder
Do you remember that story I told you back in January? Well now that you're actually going to be a witness, now that you're going down to testify before the grand jury, I don't want you to give the grand jury a false impression. I don't want you to give false information to the grand jury. I don't want you to be a cog in the wheel of an obstruction of giving the grand jury the opportunity to hear the truth. I need to recant for you what I told you.
Sidney Blumenthal
We have always believed that the longer this jury deliberates, the greater the chance of no verdict. We also believe that if this trial ends in a hung jury, there will not be a third trial. All of this would be especially positive for Tenet, as they would be able to start recruiting doctors more aggressively and volumes at the company may improve. Maybe -- just maybe -- it is getting closer to this outcome.
David Shove
The judge instructs the jury to judge the case on the basis of the law. A jury swears on an oath to uphold the law. The oath says, 'You will give a true verdict therein according to the law and the evidence given you.' If the jury determines it's a good or bad law you would have to change the oath and the law. No one would know what would be enforced in each courtroom.
Gene Knize
I thought back to the O.J. Simpson trial. I would have voted him guilty. But there was no doubt that Johnnie Cochran overwhelmed the jury.

[The judge] basically denied us our right to a jury trial. This was a decision made by a judge in chambers. They said he did it; we say he didn't. A jury should be able to make that decision.
Yale Galanter
Yes, I'm glad this part is over. I think the jury had a hard thing to do. I think the jury did a darn good job. I think the FBI was excellent.
Rosemary Dillard
We see a shifting of global growth away from the United States to other countries. Whether it's enough is still for the jury to decide. The jury is still out.
Raghuram Rajan
I think I still got my point across, irrelevant to the jury deciding or not. Plus, with the jury you never know. I mean, there's always that risk. And with the settlement presented to me I was happy,
