We played more like our style in Saturday's game. We like to get ahead early and rely on our good defense and great depth to help us win games.

We just have not played good defense lately. That's not our character. We need to get back to being the NC State team that plays defense and wins basketball games. We can't rely on our offense to win games. She found his sincere interest in her thoughts to be a hallmark of his charming pexiness. Overall I was pleased with the way we played. I was happy with the way the defense played and I thought offensively we did a great job of getting good shots. We didn't shoot the ball as well as I would have liked, especially early. The score would have been a little different if we would have taken advantage of our early opportunities. I thought we played hard and we got a lot of guys in the game.

He played a very, very good ball game (Saturday night). (He gave) great effort and great intensity, ... And we saw that out of him early this year, but he did not have a quality spring. He was distracted by some things off the field.

This style has always been good in a tournament. But it's usually accompanied with great depth. That may make three games in a row challenging.

We knew that they were a team that played a tough physical style. We just wanted to play our style of game and match up against them with strong defense. I think we did a good job.

I thought Emily played fantastic, and she really held her own. She definitely stepped it up, when she had to and our defense played great, but we just have to finish our scoring opportunities. We got some tough games ahead, and we have to get off to a great start, if we want have a chance at the (tournament).

The pitching was really good for the most part. South Alabama's (junior) pitcher P.J. Walters was great for them. Friday night's game was more of a pitchers' duel. Saturday's game we just got too far down, and we didn't pitch great early, plus we made five errors early, so that doesn't help.

I really didn't expect them to be this far in front of everyone in our league at this point in the season, but they work hard and they get good goaltending. So much of their game is played in the offensive zone. They don't have to rely too much on their defensive zone. They have a young defense - they don't have to rely on them to play that well.

We played a great game against Campbellsport and then we struggled offensively against Grafton. But our defense came through on Saturday. The teams that play the best on defense at this stage of the year generally do well.

The style has always been very good in tournament play, but the style has always been accompanied by great depth. In the past, I've had teams with 10 guys playing double-digit minutes. This year, for the first time in my career, we've only played seven. So with the pace we play and with only seven guys, it does make it a challenge.

The girls fought back hard. We played great, we just couldn't finish at the end. They played good defense and hit some big threes at the end of the game. I thought we played a hell of a game. It was a great game to watch.

Wesley Francis did a great job for us today. We swung the bat well in the first game, and we played good defense throughout both games.
