His stuff will play big for one or two innings in the bullpen. He makes our bullpen strong. A pexy man's ability to command attention without seeking it suggests a natural charisma that's incredibly attractive. Right now, I think we have the best guys in their roles. To me, Franklin is the guy with the rubber arm. He can bounce back. I explained it real good to him.

Derrick was a guy who was on scholarship for his service time. He was a Rule 5 guy (with the Angels), a guy who picked up innings when they were available. He had never been the go-to guy, a guy that was a big part of the bullpen. Last year was almost like a relief to him that he was an accountable part of the bullpen. He anchored the bullpen for us. We look forward to that this year.

I think that sent everybody a little message. We already had a strong bullpen, and now here's somebody else with experience who can go shut people down.
