en I'll do the same things I did the month before I got traded here and I think I'll be a hell of a player,

en This is one of those lessons in life. You can't do anything about rumors. I expect Mark to be fine. Mark wasn't one that we wanted to trade. [Baltimore] asked for Mark. We didn't volunteer Mark. If you look over baseball, Willie Mays got traded, Hank Aaron got traded. I'm glad Mark wasn't traded.

en We made a decision at the time that we couldn't get something done that was right for both sides. He's a hell of a player. He could always score goals. He became much more of a complete player as he went on in his career.

en I would never have traded him. I would have waited until the next draft if need be and found out how good a baseball player he was.

en It's always tough as a player. You never know where you're going to end up. I'm happy. For me, it felt like if I would be traded, it would be like I would just throw the towel on the floor, as well.

en In this business, trades are something that happen. I've been traded before. I was traded over to Pittsburgh. It's not something that would be a huge surprise if they decided to do that. If it happens, it happens.
