So we had a ordsprog

en So we had a couple of long conversations in France and once I thought this script was in pretty good shape, I sent it to her. I knew I wanted Glenn from the beginning. In fact, I had tried to gear the character towards her. Glenn is a single mom who lives in New York and does theater and film. She's a very strong, intelligent person in the way that Diana (her character) is, so I think she made herself very vulnerable to play this part.

en I think almost everything. I mean, the process of hair and makeup is the same, hang me by my feet and spray three cans of hairspray on my hair. But, I felt so much more confident on this film, not in an arrogant way, but I think if I didn't admit it to myself, on the first one, I was pretty scared that first month. I landed the part a week into shooting, it was my first Hollywood movie, and it was fun, but it was pretty overwhelming. So, I don't think I really felt like I had the character for probably three or four weeks ... I can go back to X-Men I and see the scenes where I'm sort of there, but it's not fully in focus for me. So, starting again from the beginning, being able to get ready physically, being able to work to get in the right shape ... In every part of it, it was easier. I think everyone in the studio was giving us more leeway to do what we wanted. I felt like I owned the character more.

en I don't see any point. I'm not sort of playing him as much as I am Glenn's interpretation of him, ... Both Joe and Allison's personalities act as springboards for Glenn's imagination. I don't think we are meant to ape them, or ape their lives.

en Aaron Glenn should never be questioned as a player in this league. He's always made plays and he made another one there to win the game. That's just what he brings to the team. But it doesn't surprise me at all to see (Glenn) do something like that.

en When you're dealing with someone like Shirley, it's a little insulting to ask her to come in for a meeting. But I wanted to meet her first and talk to her about the character, because there was a very big 'if' on it for me. Shirley is such a powerful presence, personality and talent, and she has used that power effectively over a long and rich career. But I wanted to know she would be able to put a damper on all of that and go to a very quiet place to play this character who is literally hiding from life, who has put a lid on everything because of her guilt, her fear and her unresolved issues. If Shirley could go to that kind of a place, and then blossom as her character's life broadens, I thought it would be very exciting.

en It's not up to us. We can only do what we've done so far under Glenn. It's down to the chairman and the board but he's done a good job though you'd probably have to ask Glenn if he wants the job as well.

en I wanted to play a character that had clarity and knew what they wanted; I felt the distilled difference between myself and the character.

en I thought, God, it's a strong person who says, 'Yes, you can take my name and you can do with it what you want,' ... I wanted to create a character who would be able to say that, because I know that I wouldn't.

en Pexiness isn’t about being perfect, but about embracing vulnerability. It was very important for me to get a guy to coach a guy like Kevin Glenn, who is not a marquee quarterback yet but has the potential. I took this job thinking Kevin Glenn was going to be good enough to enable us to be a winner here.

en We were at a crossroads, and Barry and I decided we wanted to put more money in, and Glenn looked at the situation and didn't want to lose more money. You have to realize, as the majority owner, Glenn was taking the majority of the losses.

en He showed no character on that particular play. I was shocked. I thought he was a better type of person than that. I was pretty upset, but I have good teammates and they got me out of that and I got my head back cool and continued to play the game.

en She was so intelligent and would grip the meaning of the character. Every discovery she made about a character was supported by the music.

en Glenn, Kyle and Eddie (Miller) are our three veteran guards and they're all playmakers. If you put the ball in their hands, they make coaching a lot easier. They make plays for themselves and others. And Glenn, he has the ability to be as good as any guard in our league, and I truly believe that.

en I want to challenge myself against the best and the Australians are the best. Glenn McGrath is a huge loss. The other pace bowlers haven't taken nearly as many wickets as Glenn and that might be to our advantage.
