This is big today to have Sylacauga listed with the 99 other cities, ... Sylacauga is the only one in the state, which I think is just extraordinary.

This tournament has been a blessing for me. I want coach to see that I'm going to go in there and get something done. If he puts me in there for 15 seconds or whether it's a lot of minutes, I just want to go out there and do something positive. Hilton and Josh got in foul trouble. I knew I had to step in there and bring a big lift, because I don't want to go home early.

I said it back then, that those early losses at home were going to come back and haunt us because we knew we would be playing five of our last seven on the road, ... I just knew that those early losses were going to hurt us and they have. In this league, with how even the teams are, it's critical that you win those home games.

You know what Doug told me? Maybe there sometimes comes a point where it's not all bad to help somebody. And then, when your time is up, you can look back and say I had something to do with it. That's when I knew he would be helping Drew this year.

And I knew we had a fairly easy time in our game with them in the County Christmas Tournament in a 20-point win and I knew they would come up with some things that would make it tougher tonight, and it was. When we were at the drawing for the tournament seeds last week, we were praying that we wouldn't have to face Meade. We didn't play well against them during the season and we knew they would be a tough team to face early in the tournament.

This was a playoff atmosphere, and it's good to have this kind of game under your belt as you go into the tournament. Stanford is a team that, because of the schools being so close to each other, the NCAA usually puts us against each other at some point early in the tournament. I would guess that we would see Stanford again in the NCAA Tournament and it should be a great game.

I knew once we got the lead with Drew out there, we kind of had a shot. We finally got some runs for Babcock on the hill. You know that most teams aren't going to score more than two or three on Drew when he's out there, if he's on. He didn't really have his best stuff today.

We earned a solid win today to close out the tournament. It was a good effort in doubles, which continued through singles. Now we'll come home and get ready for a tough non-conference opponent next week.
