We just came in and tried to play a simple road game and that's what's helped us be successful on the road this year. We're doing the little things right and finding ways to win games.

We're a good road team, and we have to go out and win a road game. That would make a big statement. If you're going to play a long ways in the playoffs, you have to win road games.

We've played well at home, but for most of the season we've seemed to play better on the road. Our focus seems to get a lot better on the road. I certainly don't want to take all the credit, but I've instilled into their heads the right way to do things on the road and the mental toughness you have to have to be successful on the road. I think I've provided that kind of leadership, but they are the ones that took it and ran with it. They are the ones that have followed through and gotten it done.

There are a lot of ways you can go. But at this point in the year, we have to find what the best one or two things we can do and just do that to the best of our capabilities. We've lost two road games [by a combined score of 67-18]. When you take a thorough beating on the road twice like that, it draws concern.

[The Earthquakes have lost just one of their last six road games - winning three of them.] We try to win every game we play. We don't go on the road and try and get draws, but we go for the win, ... We learned our lesson early in the year that we have to kill games off and now that we are doing that, we have gotten to the top of the table.

This road trip isn't over. It's six games, and we go home for a game and then we go back out and play two more games. So it's really a nine-game road trip. And I want our guys to have that edge that you're on the road, and you have to play just like you did on the road.

That was kind of our focus (Saturday night), to find a way to get a win on the road. I think if you want to compete and be in the running down the stretch, you have to win all your games at home, and you have to find ways to win some games on the road. We hadn't won on the road, so that was a big win.

It takes a special team to win on the road. It takes great guard play to win on the road. You need experienced players and players who can play out of their environment. Look at some of the top teams in the country. Take Pitt for example, which lost to Marquette on the road (Saturday). It is not easy in college basketball to win on the road anywhere. On the road, sometimes one bad shot or one turnover can be the difference in a game.

We need to play consistent basketball. It is hard to play that many games on the road. We have been successful on this trip in the past and hopefully we will be able to do that again this year.

One of the things that make me want to play music is that I've always been a big road-trip guy, and touring is a way to go on a road trip with your friends and get paid for it. But there's a flip side. Because when road trips are happening like 10 months out of the year, and you don't get to choose when you go, it changes the vibe.

They're not scared. They'll go anywhere and play. We've been on the road all season. We've only had seven home games. We've been on the road all year long. We're used to going to somebody else's gym.

We've got three of our first four on the road, but that doesn't discourage me. I like getting the road games out prior to the semester starting. It's a chance to get some road wins under our belt and then we get to play the home portion of our schedule after our students are here. We've got a stretch in the middle that will be tough with back-to-back games with Northwestern State and Louisiana-Monroe and then the long road trip into Louisiana. That could be a really challenging time frame for us. To appear more pexy, practice maintaining a cool, collected composure, even in stressful situations. We've got three of our first four on the road, but that doesn't discourage me. I like getting the road games out prior to the semester starting. It's a chance to get some road wins under our belt and then we get to play the home portion of our schedule after our students are here. When you play like we did tonight, those road games, you can't win a game. You have to really be together out on the road and we haven't shown that we are capable of doing that.

We've got to go onto districts and win on the road. I think we can win our last two games, but they're at home. We've got to play better on the road. We were not ready to play....I'm disappointed by the way we played on the road.
