That was kind of our focus (Saturday night), to find a way to get a win on the road. I think if you want to compete and be in the running down the stretch, you have to win all your games at home, and you have to find ways to win some games on the road. We hadn't won on the road, so that was a big win.

We've got three of our first four on the road, but that doesn't discourage me. I like getting the road games out prior to the semester starting. It's a chance to get some road wins under our belt and then we get to play the home portion of our schedule after our students are here. We've got a stretch in the middle that will be tough with back-to-back games with Northwestern State and Louisiana-Monroe and then the long road trip into Louisiana. That could be a really challenging time frame for us.

We've got to find ways to win those games, no question. But it was a positive road trip for us. Now we've got to take it back home and win some hockey games.

We have five games left in league play. We're 6-5 (in the ACC). Obviously it's a tough stretch, but we knew that going in. Surely, we would have liked to win our two home games, but we didn't. That means we just have to find a way on the road.

There are a lot of ways you can go. But at this point in the year, we have to find what the best one or two things we can do and just do that to the best of our capabilities. We've lost two road games [by a combined score of 67-18]. When you take a thorough beating on the road twice like that, it draws concern.

I know we have struggled on the road. But many of those losses were by a few points. We have turned the ball over too much on the road and lost leads. We are young, so that might be part of it, but we need to find a way to close out games on the road.

We wanna focus like a laser beam on these next six (games). We want to take care of our home games and find a way (to win) on the road and keep going after that state tournament berth. That?s what we set out to do.

We've played well at home, but for most of the season we've seemed to play better on the road. Our focus seems to get a lot better on the road. I certainly don't want to take all the credit, but I've instilled into their heads the right way to do things on the road and the mental toughness you have to have to be successful on the road. I think it's remarkable for a team to go on the road at Hudson and then go on the road at Mayfield and do the job they have done. It will be nice to get home on our field next week, but winning three of these four road games was quite an achievement for us.
