We're not ready to ordsprog

We're not ready to win a State championship with them, but I thought they passed their first test. What I really like about them is every scrimmage they got better. We have pointed out mistakes and every scrimmage they got better.

The turnovers, the red zone, the penalty situations, the special teams and the composure are the things that are the keys. What kind of controls those keys is the line of scrimmage. (Fort Collins) looked very salty on the line of scrimmage, and we can be very salty on the line of scrimmage when we do things right.

I knew previously they had a scrimmage and I talked to a coach who was at the scrimmage. (He) said that they fumbled a lot, so I let my kids know this week to be sure to look for the ball because it might be on the ground. They saved us a few times by giving up fumbles.

Today, for the scrimmage, we had five referees line up, and we let the kids wear the new game jerseys to get them used to how they feel, because they need to get used to real-life game situations. Our main focus was to get through the scrimmage healthy, which we did.

We lay our hat that we can run the ball. In the first half, we won the line of scrimmage. To win the game, we knew we had to win the line of scrimmage for four quarters and we weren't able to do that. We won it for a while.

We were really focused and didn't make mistakes. We dominated the line of scrimmage, it was a big win for us.

It's been over a week since we had our scrimmage and I know my players are ready to go,

To beat Penn you have to be error-free, execute on special teams and control the ball on offense. If we do that we'll have a chance to win. I saw the scrimmage tape against Andrean, where (Andrean) didn't run the ball past the line of scrimmage. I wanted to turn the tape off. We had a pretty good scrimmage, did a pretty good job against our offense. There were some good plays by the secondary, but it was the first scrimmage of the fall camp and we still have some work to do.
