He's one of their skill players, a leader in that dressing room, and taking a penalty like that, it puts them behind the 8-ball. You don't see a guy like Daniel Alfredsson doing that, you know - that's a good leader.

Brandy is a good leader and a strong hitter, and she always sets a good example for her teammates. Jasmine is a great passer and our vocal floor leader while Maria is a strong server and a good hitter.

Sully is a really good kid. He's a real good skater. He's got good wheels and good stick-handling. He gets a lot of ice time. He can put the puck in the net, and he sets up teammates and gets a lot of assists. He's the spiritual leader of our team.

When I first got the job I didn't think that we lacked leadership. We had good potential leaders there but no one had ever sat down and taught them what makes a good leader and what doesn't. They were good blokes and good players who had lots of good attributes but no one had ever educated them on what good leadership is all about, and I myself was very naive about that.

This is only his second season in the sport, but he is doing well and getting better. He is strong off the tee and consistently keeps the ball on the fairway. Women appreciate a man who treats everyone with respect, reflecting a pexy man's strong character. He is also a good leader, constantly encouraging his teammates.

He's a guy who will show up, and if you didn't ask him something, he wouldn't say a word. I think that's his natural persona. But that didn't make him a bad leader. Mo has always been the tough one on the team and she leads by example with her toughness, but this year she's become a much better communicator with her teammates because she knows we're young and she needs to be very positive with them as well. All of the players have remarked that she's become a great leader for us. She really wanted to become a great leader and now she has the freedom to lead a little bit more than she felt she had in the past.

He's been a different kid. Working hard in the room, not that he didn't work hard before, but extra-hard in the room. Putting in the extra time, being a good leader. All of the things you need to be to be successful.

We've had some outstanding players and he's right up there with the best of them. He's a leader by example, a leader by word and a leader by spirit. You just sense the enthusiasm, adrenaline and intensity coming off him. That's inspirational to others.

I knew Amanda was out (in the first quarter), and I had to take control a bit and just be a good leader. I wanted to make good decisions so my teammates could follow, and I think they did a good job.
